The Acura Precision EV Concept, unveiled in 2024, serves as a preview of Acura’s upcoming electric car, scheduled for production in 2024. While Honda has been actively exploring electric vehicles and already has them in production, its premium subsidiary Acura is yet to introduce electric cars into its lineup.

The forthcoming Acura electric crossover will be built on General Motors’ Ultium platform, as per the agreement made with development partners two years ago.

To offer a glimpse of what’s to come, Acura has presented the Precision EV Concept, a show car that aligns with Acura’s current corporate design language. Notably, the concept lacks a traditional radiator grille, replaced by a distinctive relief stamp in the shape of a pentagon.

In terms of dimensions, the concept closely resembles the Acura RDX production crossover, measuring 4747 mm in length. The design unmistakably reflects the current brand styling, providing a tangible preview of Acura’s future electric production model.

The Acura Precision EV Concept showcases a unique design that omits the traditional grille yet retains the iconic pentagon shape, now implemented in relief on a smooth panel with backlighting.

The lighting elements retain a familiar shape but introduce new features. Notably, the front end boasts a sharpened design with converging ridges on the hood, drawing inspiration from the stylistic elements of luxurious speedboats from Italy.

Adding to the distinctive aesthetics, a three-dimensional geometric pattern known as Particle Glitch is featured on the edges of both bumpers and the spokes of the impressive 23-inch wheels. These design elements contribute to the concept’s overall modern and avant-garde appearance, blending inspiration from both automotive and maritime influences.

The interior is only depicted in design drawings. Its trim is designed to be made of synthetic leather derived from biomass and recycled plastic.

A new-generation interface will be available on two of the front panel’s screens. Additionally, autopilot is referenced by the steering wheel rather than the steering wheel itself.

The steering wheel is moved back to the front panel and the screens display calming animation when the vehicle is in the Spiritual Lounge driving mode.

The lighting equipment’s shape in the concept is also recognizable from the brand’s current models.

As a result, the Japanese gave the front of the body a pointed shape with bumps that converge at the hood.

Designers believe that this kind of choice is best associated with high-end Italian vessels.

Additionally, the exterior of the vehicle features a three-dimensional Particle Glitch geometric pattern that is visible on the spokes of the 23-inch wheels as well as the edges of the front and rear bumpers.

Though there are design sketches, there are no interior photos. Based on these sketches, the multimedia panel and dashboard will be arranged in an unusual way on the front panel of the all-terrain vehicle.

Furthermore, the concept features an elongated steering wheel in place of a conventional one.

When you engage the car’s autopilot, the “steering wheel” moves to the front panel and the screens play a soothing animation.

The technology for the upcoming electric car was not made public by the developers. They should arrive before 2024.

And shortly after, an even more basic Honda Prologue electric vehicle built on the same Ultium platform will be unveiled. Then, Acura’s turn will arrive.
