An old Instagram Live of Cristiano Ronaldo in a sauna has resurfaced on the internet. A list was released on Twitter by ‘Morning Joe’ about the highest audiences achieved in a live stream. A surprise entrant in the list was Ronaldo’s mistaken Instagram Live.

Fans were left bewildered by the Instagram Live that was streamed by Ronaldo. In February 2022, while Ronaldo was a Manchester United player, he started an Instagram Live abruptly. If you were part of that stream, you would have seen Ronaldo just showing off himself and his sauna while not even uttering a word.

One fan commented, “Ronaldo… 400 million followers on Instagram and he doesn’t even know how it works.”

That stream had reached a peak audience of over 710,000. Fans in the comments of the stream concluded that Ronaldo did so mistakenly. Surprisingly, by that time Ronaldo already had over 400 million followers. To make such a mistake could be costly at some point.

Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand had also joined the stream. He was seen commenting, “What you doing bro [laughing emojis].”

Such a mistake now could see an even larger audience. Ronaldo now has over 585 million followers on Instagram. He is the most followed person on the social media app.

In the list shared by ‘Morning Joe’, only two other streams received more views than Ronaldo. A stream where Buzzfeed made a watermelon explode received over 800,000 live views. Meanwhile, a live stream of a giraffe named April giving birth received over a million views.

On the other hand, the Ronaldo sauna story did not end with this Instagram Live. Ronaldo is known to enjoy his time in the sauna as he has frequently uploaded pictures about it.

Ronaldo and sauna selfies are a very regular occurrence. Just in the last couple of years, there are multiple occurrences where Ronaldo has posted a picture of himself in a sauna. One of the latest of those pictures was in April 2023. He posted a picture of himself on his Instagram story working up a sweat in the sauna.

In November 2021, Ronaldo posted a picture of himself in a sauna as he was recovering from the international break. Just two months after that, he was at it again. This time it was a picture from Dubai as he headed to the middle-east during United’s mid-season break.

Probably his last Sauna selfie as a United player came in late May 2022. He posted another Instagram story with the caption “detox” as he enjoyed his sauna.
